• Introduction:

The Ucode 8 UHF RFID Anti-Theft Tags for Jewelry are specially designed to meet the challenges of tagging jewelry items, such as small size, metal interference and high density. The tags are made of durable and flexible materials that can withstand harsh environments and handling. The tags have a size of 25mm x 10mm and a thickness of 0.2mm, making them suitable for various types of jewelry products, such as rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces and more.

The tags use the NXP UCODE 8/8m ICs, which are the latest products of the UCODE family. The UCODE 8/8m ICs have a read sensitivity of -23 dBm and a write sensitivity of -18 dBm, which enable long read distance and fast inventory of dense RFID tag population. The ICs also have a broadband design, which offers the possibility to manufacture true global RFID label with high performance over worldwide regulations.

The UCODE 8/8m ICs also provide several innovative features that enhance the functionality and security of the tags. These features include:

•  Self Adjust: This feature allows the tag to automatically optimize its performance according to the environment and reader settings.

•  Memory Safeguard: This feature enables countermeasures, like parity and margin checks as well as automated error correction, to ensure integrity of customer data.

•  Brand Identifier: This feature enables product authentication verification by using a unique code that is assigned by NXP to each customer.

•  Untraceable: This feature enables the tag to hide its identity and memory content from unauthorized readers by using the EPC Gen2v2 compliant Untraceable command.

•  Pre-serialization for 96-bit EPC: This feature supports pre-serialization for 96-bit EPC, which simplifies the encoding process and reduces errors.

•  Integrated Product Status Flag (PSF): This feature enables the tag to be used as an EAS tag without the need for a back-end database. The PSF bit can be set or cleared by using standard EPC global commands.

The tags also have 96-bit Tag IDentifier (TID) factory locked, including 48-bit unique serial number, 32-bit kill password to permanently disable the tag, 32-bit access password and 0-bit/32-bit (UCODE 8/UCODE 8m) User Memory.

The tags are compatible with Zebra thermal printers, which can print high-quality labels with text, graphics and barcodes. The labels can be customized according to your preferences and requirements.

The tags are compliant with ISO/IEC 18000-6C and EPCglobal Class1 Gen2 standards, which ensure interoperability with other RFID devices and systems.

The tags have a wide operating temperature range of -40 °C up to +85 °C, which makes them suitable for various environments and applications.
