An ultrasonic welding machine uses high-frequency vibration, controlled force, and hold time to join compatible thermoplastic parts. The machine may be configured as a benchtop unit, manual workstation, semi-automatic station, or modular system, depending on the part and production requirement.
The welding machine is only one part of the process. The horn, fixture, joint design, material, working height, and operator procedure determine whether the weld can be repeated in production.
