  • RFID VS NFC ?

RFID and NFC are both wireless communication technologies, but they have some differences.

RFID is mainly used for item identification and tracking, usually it operates at Frequency from 125KHz to 960MHz, and the read distance can reach up to 100 meters. While NFC is mainly used for close-range communication and payments, which operates at 13.56MHz frequency with a shorter read distance and up to 10cm only.

In terms of security, both technologies have their own security measures. However, NFC has additional security features such as the ability to encrypt data and use secure elements for storing sensitive information.

RFID is widely used in supply chain management, inventory tracking, and access control systems. While NFC is commonly used in contactless payments, public transportation systems, and electronic access control.
